Machine Rebuild / Maintenance Manager

Jim is responsible for managing all equipment and facility needs of Seaway. He has championed the rebuilding efforts on all of our new parts forming pieces of equipment, as well as overseeing the construction of a 30,000 sq ft addition. In his three years at Seaway, we have seen a marked improvement in our equipment efficiencies. Jim is a seasoned leader and industry veteran capable of managing our future growth. 

Jim joined Seaway in January of 2018.  Prior to working at Seaway, Jim spent 27 years working at Continental Midland-Jacobson in Medina OH. The last two, of which, were spent managing all manufacturing operations including eight departments. Jim held the title of Maintenance Supervisor for the previous 25 years. There he led 15 direct reports to oversee all of the equipment during the largest period of growth in the company’s history. 

In 2000, Jim helped to consolidate an entire manufacturing operation from Altoona, PA into the Medina, OH facility. This included over 60 cold forming presses and thread rolling machines. Prior to working for the Continental Group, Jim ran his own rebuilding company, specializing in cold form equipment. 

Jim has completed several continuous education programs through the Medina County Career Center including: Problem Solving, Supervision and Management, and Effective Performance Appraisals.
