Jeff is one of the senior members of Seaway’s leadership team, having started with the company in 1994. Jeff is responsible for all of Seaway’s shipping requirements including outside secondary operations. His department processes over 3,500 transactions each month. In addition to those responsibilities, Jeff is heavily involved with internal primary and secondary operations scheduling. Based on his historical knowledge of our product cycles, Jeff is the main driver in continuously meeting our on-time shipping and premium freight goals.
During his time with the company, Jeff has overseen two warehouse expansions and has been heavily involved with the layout designs of each. Jeff has also been a leader on the implementation teams of 3 separate ERP systems, including the most recent – Plex. He has also been responsible for managing Seaway’s tow motor fleet, which has led to a reduction in cumulative costs of roughly $400K in the past 15 years.
Prior to joining Seaway, Jeff spent 5 years working as the shipping manager of the Milford Group. While there, he was responsible for daily shipments including outside processing and truck routings. Under Jeff’s leadership the company was able to secure a 30% reduction in overall freight charges.
Jeff completed the Strategic Management of Resources curriculum from LCCC in 2004. He also completed the NPTA Business Operations course in the same year. In 2000, Jeff passed the APICS Supply Chain Management examination (16 week program).
