Tim White

Senior Tooling Design Engineer

Tim joined Seaway’s growing engineering department in 2018.  He was instrumental in helping Seaway develop its first female fitting product family, which we are currently shipping full production. Tim has overseen the design of 30 new part numbers including the successful manufacture of a tubular family of parts with a completely unique way of transferring the parts from station to station. He is critical to the Advanced Quality Planning (feasibility) process, as well as, executing the overall growth plan. He assisted in the design of the manufacturing cell layout and tool storage area in the new addition.

Prior to joining Seaway, Tim was the Senior Project Engineer at Ramco Specialties. While at Ramco, he implemented Nagsim (FEA) forming simulation software. This was used to predict material flow in dies along with resulting tool stresses to optimize the process. He also helped introduce the Strux® Nut product line (sizes M5 to M14). This involved developing tooling, inspection criteria, performance testing, and training materials to support this new product line.

Tim has also served as the Senior Design Engineer at Jacobson MFG and Engineering Supervisor at SPS Technologies.

Tim graduated from Cleveland State with a BSME in 1997. He is black belt trained in Lean / 6 sigma methodologies. In 2020, Tim was nominated for International Fastener Engineering Hall of Fame.
